Poetry — Manifestation Final Chapter

Janis Joplin collage

Today is the final chapter of the story, Manifestation.  I decided to create a collage to illustrate the concept of the last chapter.  Looking through the landscape images first, then to the fitting image of the goddess, I pulled out possible candidates.  A fellow blogger, hanspostcard , had posted something about Gordon Lightfoot, so I was listening to the CD, If You Could Read My Mind, while doing it.  Just as, “Me & Bobby McGee” started playing, who should I pull out of the images but Janis Joplin.  This spoke unequivocally that SHE would be the protective Goddess!  Hoping you have enjoyed my tale of Manifestation!

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

His back burned by light, face contorted in fright,

Loosed from the spell, I backed up, just as well

Protective Goddess Janis Joplin focused him in her sight.

Her nuclear smile, a searing force, sizzled goat so vile,

Bound by her beam, bloodcurdling scream, til ashes so white,

From the crypt crept the guests, at Goddess behest,

Neutralized into mist by her unquenchable light, they evaporated without a fight.

Then her gaze turned to me, warming a little piece of my heart, now free,

Orbs guided me home, to my sweet bed at last, through the night.

Happy Halloween to All!

Please note, this version came BEFORE Janis’ version!
