Helen’s prompt for Song Lyric Sunday today is season. “Down by the Water” is a song on the American indie rock band, The Decemberists’ sixth album, The King is Dead. It was released as a single in 2010. They’ve done 7 albums, are working on an 8th, and also did a fantastic collaboration with Olivia Chaney in 2017 and called the group, Offa Rex for the LP, “The Queen of Hearts.”

Goldfinch came down to London to see them play at the Hammersmith Apollo last month. They were great!
