As we are approaching Valentines Day, the colorings will have hearts in them or they will be lubby dubby in some other way. I will be listening to lubby dubby music also, which makes sense. It’s been a LONG time since listening to my beloved Bonnie Raitt CDs, as romance is the farthest thing from my mind, but for the holiday, I will indulge myself.
“Love Letter,” written by Bonnie Hayes, is from Bonnie’s CD, “Nick of Time.”
Per wikipedia:
Nick of Time is the 10th album by the American singer Bonnie Raitt, released on March 21, 1989. Nick of Time topped the Billboard 200 chart, selling five million copies, and won three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, which was presented to Raitt & producer Don Was. In 2003, the album was ranked number 230 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The album was also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
Nick of Time was the first CD I bought of Bonnie’s and I kept buying them for awhile. She is one of my favorite singers. She can belt it out but her voice also has a tender side when she needs it to. Bonnie not only sings, but she plays guitar and writes songs. Her dad was a famous Broadway musical star.
Listening to some lubby dubby stuff here too– The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars!
