50WordThurs #7

king joffrey

Kristian has challenged us for this week’s 50 Word Thursday. Kristian alternates this creative challenge with Teresa. It’s a quick and fun challenge, and all are welcome to give it a go.

The rules
1 The completed piece must be in multiples of 50 words – a maximum of 250 words. Anything is acceptable – poetry, story, anecdote.
2 There will be a photo and a random phrase that I will take from the current book I am reading – you can use either or both (please follow Kristian’s link to see this week’s photo)
3 Please pingback and tag 50WordThurs so I can do a summary.

And here are the words:

From the moment we saw him most of us lived in dread of him.

from Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo.

My story:

King Joffrey’s acts of wanton cruelty began long before he took the throne. He routinely set cats on fire and shot dogs with arrows. The servants would then clean up the unfortunate remains. Over the years, from the moment we saw him most of us lived in dread of him.

    1. I don’t know, I can’t even remember who is still alive right now lol. I need to revisit and remember to gear up. Then I’ll have to wait until its released at the video stores to watch it. As long as Jon Snow lives, the rest can die 😉

      1. I’ve always been fascinated with dragons. Are they going to be major actors in this next season? Guessing yes now that Kalesi (sp?) and Jon have joined forced against the winter evil…
