I have chosen to write a haibun on this one:

You are made of stardust,

and to stardust you will return

This one strikes a chord with me, as I have been a philosophical daoist for almost 30 years now. One of the foundations of the philosophy talks about the “Mysterious Mother”, from which all things spring and to which all things return. The mysterious mother very well could be stardust.

Scientists can study the physical realms of Earth, Outer Space, far galaxies, and wherever else that can be measured with the laws of physics. One day, the spark of life as we know it could be physically measured with an instrument.

The mysterious mother is found in the empty spaces, but there is a use to those spaces. It is where she resides. Life as we know it is a constant recycling of birth and death, of people, places, things, thoughts, you name it.
