It was time for the monthly fundraising bingo game to support the Priest Criminal Legal Defense Fund for Wrigley Parish to start. Parishes across the United States had begun holding the monthly bingo games, as it was one of the money-making activities that were successful in helping to offset the growing billions that were accruing in legal fees, court-ordered liability payments, and under the table hush money.

As penance, the priests were told by the Pope that they would be the callers in the bingo games. Tonight’s game in Wrigley was for double the usual 50/50 payout, which meant the entry fee to play was doubled, as were the cost of the cards. The reason for increasing the amounts tonight was due to the multiple lawsuits in Wrigley Parish because of Father O’Debil. Father O’Debil was out on a bond until one of his trials at the end of the month.

As Father O’Debil called out the first number and letter of the first game, little did he know that he was being watched from the balcony by one of the parishes’ old altar boys, Benny Higgins. Higgins was about to aim for Father O’Debil’s heart with a rifle with a laser scope. It was anyone’s guess whether the bullet or the bingo would be first to hit.
