I’m trying a form I heard of last night, called 5-2, which is a 5-syllable line followed by a 2-syllable line, no set length.  Let me know what you think of the form.

Ocean is witness
Spying
Wings, hair, parallel
Flying
Suspended in air
Crying
Waves wash close to us
Sighing
Our hearts slow beating
Why-ing.
