Daddy and the talkies

Daddy told me when he was my age, he loved to go to the cinema. It was in the days before television, when it was the only place to see the talkies. Although I have always thought of my father as possessing honesty, he told me his family was so poor, he used to have to sneak in the back door of the theater to get in. The usher caught him once, but other than making him leave, there were no consequences. Daddy always said that Winnie the Pooh was his favorite film and that Tigger, the Tiger, was his favorite character in it.

When daddy got old enough, he got a job at the theater as an usher. For old times’ sake, and to carry on the tradition of ushers before him, he often let a few kids sneak in through the back door, gratis.

The End.

Fandango’s FOWC is gratis, the Word of the Day Challenge is daddy, and Paula’s 3 Things Challenge words are cinema, tiger, honesty.

Really? That’s who did the voices? Very delightful, Winnie the Pooh & Friends.

I love Winnie the Pooh and of course Tigger is the most likable of the characters in it!
