Chet was a klutz. It started in infancy when he dropped his baby bottle from the crib. Chet’s nanny came running and had the formula-saturated broken pieces of thick clear glass bagged and put into the bin in a jiffy.
“Chetty, that’s the third bottle this week! What are we going to do with you?”
Chetty loved it when nanny ran and came to talk with him in his crib, so the bottle breakage continued.
Once Chet got into school, he began bringing trinkets to his teacher. She thought Chet was a sweet boy and fawned over him — until he “accidentally” knocked her favorite vase off of the classroom window ledge. You see, Chet was hooked on that surprised alarm from females when he broke things.
In college, he “accidentally” put his white underwear in with his red t-shirts and ended up with pink skivvies. The look on his Miss Right Now’s face the first time he pulled down his pants was priceless!
Previous attempts to curb the impulse to alarm the females in his world failed. He did go a whole day once and played it straight with his fiance’, but he was disheartened by it. Strangely enough his fiance’ seemed disappointed as well. You see, she was hooked on being alarmed.
They got married and soon are to be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
The End.
Fandango’s FOWC is previous, the Word Challenge of the Day is broken, and Paula’s 3 Things Challenge words are trinket, underwear, vase
Note: baby bottles used to be only made of glass. I know, hard to imagine in this world of plastic we live in now.

Aww, a cute story.
