OctPoWriMo2019 Day 12 — black — Prince Whom Darkness Prints

Prince of Darkness scanned 101219

Prince Whom Darkness Prints

Globe that twists and swirls the depths of globe
Needle thrusts at heaven – dark’s needle.
Wheedle built from Hell’s dev’lish wheedle
Trove of darkness cached as treasure trove

Wasted hungry fish, starved, thin-waisted
Needs to consume light of life; black needs
Freed shadow bites eats bleeds, evil freed
Tastes dark morsels for deep tainted tastes

Then who’s found gnawing my dark heart? Then
Black meets vacuum’s gaze and all goes black
When my eyes raise to the mirror, when
Back not to grace, lost unknown path back

Laments are echoes, unheard laments
Axed sounds of light are faint, then fade, axed

Morgan Dragonwillow (and today’s co-host, Esther Jones) is the host of OctPoWriMo.  Esther says:
Today’s Prompt: Black
Word Prompts: Shadow Darkness Night Elegant

Suggested Poetry Type: Shadow Sonnet

rhyme scheme:  abba abba cdcd cd
9 syllables per line

This is another collage that built itself, and the “little prince” scared me the longer I looked at it.

Exploring poetry in all its forms.
