#Haikai Challenge #117: Midwinter (mafuyu)

Image result for black sky snow

Dark’s pendulum swings
heavy, to its furthest reach –
dawn a memory

Midwinter night, Luna’s lost
Clouds sputter confused snow

Frank J. Tassone is the host of Haikai Challenge.  Frank says:
This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senyru, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga) that alludes to either midwinter (mafayu), midsummer (manastu), or the winter/summer solstice.

  1. Ah, confused snow… or just plain confused weather. We headed south for a few days… and brought wind and rain with us. Looking forward to some sun. The wind is still making the palms sway, maybe in confusion 😉
