Thursday Inspiration 40 and dVerse OLN — Lead on

Abstract cat jumping through glass

I dreamed you,
sinews stretched beneath
silky fur,
leading me,
jumping, lean muscles rippling,
towards the jungle.

Today’s poem is in shadorma form.
Paula Light is the host of Thursday Inspiration.  Paula says:
This week’s theme is jump and the picture is [above.]  Here is the song snippet from “Jump” recorded by the Pointer Sisters in 1983:

Then jump
For my love
Jump in
And feel my touch
Jump if you want to taste my kisses in the night then
Jump, jump for my love

I’m also linking this to dVerse’s Open Link Night.  Linda is today’s host.

      1. Cats are amazing. I used to have them, but my pup now wants me all to himself-LOL.

  3. I love this! It made me think of our cat who is all black with yellow eyes and walks and jumps like a panther, only in miniature.

  5. Such a sleek poem, Jade, perfect for the topic. I’ve been a bit cheeky and used it as inspiration for my own offering tonight. I hope that’s OK.

How cool! Leading you off to a jungle or at least away from winter weather?
