yes we do Max. I just finished watching a Leon Russell doc, “A Poet is a Naked Person” (I think that’s the title.) Very raw and interesting.

That is one artist I don’t know a lot about…I know some of his stuff but nothing of him.

His lifestyle seems a lot like Townes VanZandt’s was but his music is more gospel-country. The person who made the film (Les Blank?) through some strange scenes in there and there was quite a bit of philosophizing between the music scenes.

1974. Amazing it was almost 50 years ago!! George Jones does a song in there that had me breaking down. That man can sing.

He would try your patience to say the least but yea…he seemed like a likable guy. I’ve known a few people who had dealings with him…said he was really down to earth.
