This may be an old song or a new one, not sure, but it’s my first time hearing it today. The song is encouraging and the video makes me smile.
Taotalk is a forum for the discussion of both the academic and pragmatic aspects of dao and Daoism, with participants expressing themselves on Daoist writings and pragmatics from their unique perspectives. It serves as a community for Daoists, and those interested in Daoism, to gather and talk dao.
It is a 2007 song from Jimmy Eat World.

yes we do Max. I just finished watching a Leon Russell doc, “A Poet is a Naked Person” (I think that’s the title.) Very raw and interesting.

That is one artist I don’t know a lot about…I know some of his stuff but nothing of him.

His lifestyle seems a lot like Townes VanZandt’s was but his music is more gospel-country. The person who made the film (Les Blank?) through some strange scenes in there and there was quite a bit of philosophizing between the music scenes.

1974. Amazing it was almost 50 years ago!! George Jones does a song in there that had me breaking down. That man can sing.

He would try your patience to say the least but yea…he seemed like a likable guy. I’ve known a few people who had dealings with him…said he was really down to earth.
