Understanding the mysteries
of the language of love
takes warm midsummer nights
under the full moon –
fireflies signal lifelong devotion

This week, write the #haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the Firefly.

  8. Never tire of this sight and always wit the same lift of spirit, infusion of magic as the very first wonder- hardly anything in my life retains that intense poignancy of first experience. It’s a wonder in itself. So happy you wrote about them.
