Understanding the mysteries
of the language of love
takes warm midsummer nights
under the full moon –
fireflies signal lifelong devotion
Frank J. Tassone is the host of Haikai Challenge. Frank says:
This week, write the #haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga, etc.) that alludes to the Firefly.
A lovely poem for a beautiful image.

Never tire of this sight and always wit the same lift of spirit, infusion of magic as the very first wonder- hardly anything in my life retains that intense poignancy of first experience. It’s a wonder in itself. So happy you wrote about them.
