Doodads — Stroll around the yard

Geraniums came back from last year.

This is a picture I took in 2015, also of a crab spider, but a different color than Charlotte.

The beautiful bearded tongue of an iris.

Enough to make you weep, it’s so pretty.

Looking into the mystery of the blossom.

I’m sure Charlotte thinks she is well-hidden.

Charlotte still sticks out like a sore thumb.

Charlotte is watching.

I’m going to be contrary and say that God did make little green apples.

Magnifique! Not even blooming yet. The rain has done wonders for many of the plants, including this heuchera.

Milkweed: mannah of the Monarch!
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
The milkweed is going gaga this year. I’ve never seen so many plants here and in the back field.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Not sure what these wildflowers are but they are looking nice.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I used kaleidoscope filter on the peony blossom picture and love what it did here.

Yarrow grows wild here. This sprouts out of one of the cracks in the driveway. I don’t have the heart to mow it.

Almost open. There will be a lot of this color of peony blossoming. It smells SO good, like ginger.

All of these pictures are right in the yard, which isn’t as big as it might look. The land is fertile here.

What kind of spider was Charlotte? Nice photos!

It’s some kind of crab spider. This is the first two-toned brown one I’ve seen. I’ve seen all white with pink design on them at this house and at my old house in town. They seem pretty inert, just sit on blossoms waiting for a meal to come to them.

Irene, I just went looking in photo files and found the one of the white and pink spider that I took in the yard back in 2015. It’s the 2nd picture now.

I love these tours of your yard. Everything is lush here too because of all the rain.
I hope you get lots of monarchs. (K)

I will try to video the monarchs if/when they come. There are always a few, but more plants this year may mean more of them.
