November Wind Painting by Deva Noori Lehmann
Large wind drowns small house
in icy moaning currents.
Soon dusk comes like death.
I escape with warm blankets
and the soft purrs of the cats.

Thank you, Max. I got up at 12:30 yesterday and by 4:30 it was dark. My plan is to count back 8 hours from sunrise and go to bed then. 4 hours of light a day isn’t enough 😦

No it isn’t… I just said last night that it was dark before I knew it.

Did you know that AZ and some counties in CA don’t recognize DST? I think its usefulness has come to an end. As if things weren’t dark enough already in the world!

Yes I do…and I’m jealous…I hate it. My dad always fussed about it saying it was for Doctors to make their Tee times lol in the summer.

The early darkness after changing times always gets to me too. But lucky to have companions for the night! (K)

The wind here (near Buffalo) was howling all of yesterday, and into the night. I was happy to be indoors.

It was terrible here also and I stayed in all day (except to chase down a few buckets and planters that were headed out of the yard.)
