Surreal Artwork by Ronald Ong
Midsummer dance, endless green
that lasts forever;
hands tight as we twirl and laugh —
love’s perfect weather.
Hearts turn to winter,
extinguished flame; forever
now ashed wet sizzles.
Today’s offering is in the form of a sequidilla, a new form I learned on Thursday in dVerse.
Carrie is today’s host of The Sunday Muse.
Badass picture

The surrealism in your Seguidilla matches that of the art! Brava.

Yes, we go into it thinking it will last forever. Or, our lifetimes anyway.

Nice poem, I like dabbling in forms. Summer romances are school kids norms, junior high through college. The cool when school starts back up.
