She’d met someone; started looking after walking in on Jack with Harold. All these years she’d blamed herself for not being attractive enough, accommodating enough, adventurous enough. It was time to feel warm strong arms around her that wanted her.
Jack was more than generous as they split up the assets. It was a way to salve his conscience. He didn’t have to hide anymore. Harold told Alice, who punched him in the face. Jack and Harold bought a condo in Brazil.
Tasmania’s sun was the same but different. Arm in arm, she and Miranda breathed in their new lives.

So, I guess a match made in the closet is not made to last. Good for them finally finding happiness.

A different sun indeed. House(s) divided, but in the end everyone’s together as they were meant to be.

So many boxes of expectations we try to fit ourselves into. It’s not always pretty when we finally shed them. (K)

Slightly embarrassed to say I enjoyed the punch to Harold’s face. So glad she was able to move past the hurt and find someone to love. Nicely penned, as usual, Lisa!

Conventions and expectations from society, family… I can understand that people let themself be ‘tailored’ into a ‘normal’ life. I don’t know if I had been brave enough in my youth, had I been in that situation. A good think that is getting better now in many places and a good thing your lovely story has a good ending for all involved.
