Not my fish, and it’s always so sad to see them belly up.

Cute haiku response! I’m sure zillions of goldfish have died this way. I’d rather see carnivals use solar powered silicon goldfish. Always swimming always happy.

      orange silicon
      happily charged by the sun
      swims forever

Ouch. As someone who has lost fish and small rodents (gerbils) in my care, I like pets with a little more staying power. Like my cats, who I think who would stand a better chance of survival than I would in many natural disasters.

It’s always sad to see a pet go belly up. Before getting my two cats in 2018-2019, I had a best buddy, Chauncey, a Boston Terrier, from 2004 – 2016.

I haven’t had a pet in about 30 years. We are badly, sorely overdue.

Yes, you may! You’re so sweet to ask. Unfortunately, due to the past year, it’s been delayed till next year. Boooooo! The five people who read the first one aren’t even gonna remember by the time the second one comes out. Boooooo! Oh, well. *sob*

As long as I know it’s going to arrive at some point, I am patient :) I also have your first book and will re-read it to get back up to speed if needed.

You’re a rare gem! Thank you so much for your support! I really appreciate it, Jade. :) BTW, I think I’ve seen people calling you Li, but isn’t that your last name?

You are very welcome, Stacey. My name is Lisa but my nickname is Li. Jade is a descriptor based on my character. Sorry, not trying to be mysterious lol. I’ve had ms_jade_li as my online handle forever (~1995.) Any of the names work fine. Thank you for asking :)

:) Thanks, Max. It ticked me off. I’ve heard of a lot of things, but poetry snobbery!? Give me a break. I’m so sick of “us” vs. “them.”

Yea it doesn’t have to be in a certain form to be great. You won’t believe this but I learned what a haiku was while reading the book IT. I had never heard of it before then…so that is one good thing I picked up from King lol…. I think it’s challenging to say what you need in that short of time.

If you remember the haiku in IT I’d love to hear/see it. I think that haiku and all poetry forms really are beautiful frameworks to hang words/ideas/feelings.

Yes…it’s when Ben Hansom was 12 and he wrote this to Beverly… : “Your hair is winter fire, January embers, My heart burns there too”

It’s a big part of the story
