Since there will be 2 videos at the end and I’m tired, for now, there won’t be full-screen photos of these if you click on the captions.
Let’s start with the pretty pictures (aka the good ones)

These are the “bad” or not so great pics. Either the color was washed out, the bugs had chewed on the blossoms, etc.

Now for the UGLY. Beware, if you are squeamish, skip the next two. I dumped the pail holding the dead tent caterpillars out on an old burn whatever-it-is (I’ve never burned anything on it, it was here when we moved in.) I’ve been checking it and the ants are very interested in the hideous corpses. Bon appetit, ants!
Now for the bonus videos. They are a tour of the yard in 2 parts.
The flowers are beautiful

Thanks for the tour! Lookin good! Lisa the bug killer LOL! They looked pretty awesome!
Btw I love your accent! It reminded me of people I’ve known with the same accent. Good memories BTW! 😊💜🦋

LOL, as you can tell I’m a little sensitized to bugs right now, they are everywhere and after the caterpillar carnage and retaliation it’s even worse. Thank you and appreciate your kind comment. Me? an accent? lol Thanks again, Jen!

You’re very welcome.
I couldn’t handle the bugs yikes!
When I worked in Cartoon productions (voice) I had to be sure there were no Canadiansims. OOT and ABOOT and flat “A’s” LOL I guess we all have accents.

Most of the bugs are just going about their business but those tent caterpillars crossed a line. lol. I agree about accents, unless you’re Microsoft Sam 😉

Thanks, David. One plant at a time. I wish I knew all of their scientific names as well. Maybe in the next life!

Thank you very much, Kerfe. It’s a work in progress. There wasn’t much here 10 years ago.

I’m sure it’s satisfying to see things growing where nothing was before.

The daily walk to see small changes in the plants is a great meditative practice for me. It’s one of the good things I got from my mom.

Loved seeing all your plants and flowers! Lots of color and variety to make up a wonderful place you have there. Glad you got rid of the icky caterpillar things. It was fun to go on the tour with you. 🙂

Thanks so much, Barbara. One thing I noticed is how often I had to stop to think of words. Troubling!

Kind of to be expected trying to remember all those plant names. You did good! I enjoyed your videos and hearing your voice. ❤

The gnawed echinacea…still looks hypnotic like it’s looking at you.
Jen and I love your garden…did you say “melva?” They are awesome.

Zebrina Malva is that tall stuff that seeds itself. Those “cones” in the middle are bristly. Happy you and Jen love the garden. I’d go mad without it.

Thank you Lisa! I just told Jennifer and my cousin who is here right now…he loves growing flowers. We are making a note of that one.

You’re welcome. I just randomly bought it last year and have been shocked at how well it is doing. I do need to get out there and “deadhead” it so it blooms some more. Is that the cousin who is a musician also?

He is our singer….he is a very good singer. I brought him in when I was 16…

So neat. A musician and a gardener is a good combination.
