Our time to stand and act is now
as welcome is receding…
En masse, to be receptive
to reformation’s possibility.
Gaia gave us her perfect garden
and we’ve turned it into a dump.
Please! Beg her to turn our hearts
now to manifested love.
I am today’s host of dVerse’ Quadrille Monday. I say:
Your challenge today, if you choose to accept it, is to use “stand” or any word that includes stand in it to write a quadrille, dVerse’ very own invented form, which is exactly 44 words (excluding the title.)
Beautifully done, Lisa!

Sarah, thank you very much. Hoping you are away from hospital soon. Not sure if you’re there for tests, procedures, or a stay, but whatever it is, away.

I am pleading with you, Lisa! I saw the most beautifully-tended garden while out walking today. We know how to do this. We have to believe we still can!

Such a heart-filled and heart-aching poem. The new report on climate change is terrifying. We really have destroyed our beautiful world, and I hope we can fix it.
Great prompt word!

A lovely, worthy prayer. The day has been so strange after waking to the climate report and then watching the strange weather again today.

It’s been raining sheets for two days straight here. Thankfully the ground was so dry it’s been able to soak it up. I hear frogs out there as if it were springtime. I saw a flock of geese fly overhead today — mid-August???? — and the lead goose sounded TIRED. Strange weather affecting the poor innocent wildlife in terrible ways.

Whereas we’ve had only 2 1/2″ of rain since June, maybe 20% of normal. No rain shower lasts more than a couple of minutes; I keep remembering “rainy days” like it was some alternate universe.

Your stand is much needed these days… It seems we don’t mind turning gardens into developments! Well done Lisa.

Dwight, we need to get back to the garden desperately. The way it’s been raining scares me. I think of my infant granddaughter and what she will face. Thank you.
