American Jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk
Before his
Time’s man
of his own hour
tick…tock ticks his
jazz notes deep down
cool fly by unsquare
beats in arrhythmic
meditative notes.
Nirvana floats.

Just to put it all together:
Thelonious Monk – piano
Charlie Rouse – tenor
Ben Riley – drums
Larry Gales – bass

Thank you, Carol Anne. I would have liked to say more but I don’t really know more (but would like to) about Mr. Monk.

Nirvana does float, “171 Market St. Ste 2A Collegeville, PA 19426. Directions · (215) xxx-8262. Call . . .” I googled it, you can also buy pool floats. I think though, you are talking about the “Nirvana” rock band. I’ve heard a little of her music but can’t remember much. Nice poem though, whatever.

Jim, the Nirvana I’m thinking of is a Buddhist term: “A state in which the mind, enlightened as to the illusory nature of the self, transcends all suffering and attains peace.” Thanks for reading and your comment.

I think the highly creative does have to dwell there in the mind, enlightened before returning to the people sphere with his creative gifs. Nice one
Have a good Sunday

It truly is amazing! I think jazz musicians are great doing solo work, but I think they go to the next level in ensemble.

I had to google him to see why three people mentioned him in the last few days!
