Leo likes to remember how it all went down. Diagnosed with cellulitis, he was prescribed steroids. Thinking it was his Muse’ sense of humor, Leo reveled in his manic creativity at the easel. He painted with colors, shapes, and ideas that would make Bosch blush and Gauguin giggle.
When Yasmin’s gallery asked him to put together an exhibit for March, he included, “Dog in Clouds at Circus” on a lark.
Patrons gathered, buzzed, and tweeted friends. The local news channel’s you-tube reached a MoMA acquisitions broker. Leo’s first sale bought him a year’s art supplies. He visits “Dog” and laughs.

Just goes to show, doesn’t it? If you don’t have the balls to put it out there…

If you can’t put your balls on the line, time to go home.

Yes! Even if he was under the influence when he created it, he still has a year supply to do other art.

Yep, that’s how it happens. The piece you think is the worst is always the first to sell.

Bear I know what you mean. A poem I wrote not long ago that I wasn’t real happy with went off of the charts with likes.

Dear Lisa,,
It never ceases to amaze me when I post a picture that I’m not all that convinced of and it gets riotous feedback. Don’t see myself in the MoMA but never say never. 😉 Good one. I love Gaugin giggling. 😀

Rochelle

Taste is so individual especially with art.
Nicely told, Lisa. Art is in the eye of the viewer.

Who can fathom what does and doesn’t hit the mark with art. I’m glad Leo came out on top with his ‘Dog’.
