It’s been awhile since sharing any pics, but I’ve been pretty busy. Today I had time to walk around the yard. None of the pics have been resized, nor have any been edited. Those parts I did not have time — nor energy — for. Things are greening up nicely out there! Some of the pics were taken during March but no time to get them out of my phone until tonight. I’m meeting up with my kids and grandbaby tomorrow at Meijer Gardens and hope to get some good pics.
Plants gazing wistfully outside from the atrium.
Taken on 041222 Rhubarb emerging
Taken on 0416 when my mom and I took a drive through Duck Lake State Park. This tree has very gnarly bark.
A close-up of the gnarl.
Another big tree in Duck Lake State Park.
a tasty vegan snack box assembled by Cari Draft. This lady is something else!
Look at this beautiful and delicious slice of red cabbage. It was part of the snack box created by Cari.
Taken today. One of the survivor ground covers from the fall. So pretty!
Another survivor from last year. So healthy!
Look how the woolly thyme traveled 🙂
The dwarf lilacs are FULL of bloom-to-bes.
Taken today. The rhubarb loves the container in its new location.
Plenty of dandelions in the back yard for the bees.
The overgrown peony bed that I am a month behind on digging out.
Mullein sprouted on the dirt I dug up to plant the larch tree. If I run out of TP, I’m all set. lol
The larch is boldly brimming with new life.

On the back yard ginkgo, lichen is growing on a dead branch. That said, there are plenty of live branches that have grown.
A starling (or an oriole, I forgot) silhouetted in the apple tree.
apple leaves coming out.
rosemary in full bloom in the atrium. the first time it ever fully bloomed. SO PRETTY!

Everything looks great Lisa!
Today and tomorrow we have to take down part of our fence…for a great cause… a new air unit that is being installed on Monday. I’m going to be careful with the Ivy we have growing on the fence.

Alright! So glad you are getting that new air unit! Congratulations! I’m sure the Ivy is pleased you will watch out for it 🙂

Yes! Birds Gone Wild also! I put some suet cakes in the cage a couple of days ago and left the lid off of the can I keep them in. Went somewhere, came back, and it had been raided, probably by the slew of squirrels around here, and the cakes got ravaged pretty good. There is a field of dandelions singing right now. Bees are humming backup.

Great photos… no editing needed! I am envious of your rhubarb! I tried growing it here, but it seems to be too hot. it cooks by the end of June!

We’ll see how it does in it’s new location, a little more shaded. My grandma’s rhubarb grew in heavy shade very well. Thanks, Dwight, on the photos.
