TSM 223 and earthweal’s OLW 131 — Zephyr’s Wedding

charged coastal zephyr spirit
perch on sun-warmed planks
betrothed to winged, waved, vapored kin
bride’s gossamer sails unfurled

orchestrated by elementals
convened in summer’s idyll
her lithe form receptive
charged coastal zephyr spirit

sheer, pearlescent suncatchers
ethereal landers alight her
with light and perfect grace to
perch on sun-warmed planks

cosmic consensus concludes
she is the puzzle piece that fits
into this unique convergence
betrothed to winged, waved, vapored kin

married into unforgettable joy
of a moment’s organic gestalt
limbs stretch in acknowledgement
bride’s gossamer sails unfurled

Cascade form

Cascade is a favorite form of mine–fun but challenging to write, and full of the music of repetition when done well, as here. You bring a moment, and a psyche, to life here, and put in in its perfect setting. Great use of alliteration as well. The sea and the its margins live and breathe here.

A lovely tumble of language, Lisa, that so describes the ethereal power of the moment. Especially love the phrases:

    “vapored skin”
    “orchestrated by elementals”
    “suncatchers”
    “cosmic consensus”
