POPO2022 day 6 — mushrooms short and tall

in the world of shrooms
doesn’t matter if you’re short
it’s how you comport

in the world of shrooms
pulp stalks and steak stumps support
hued, gilled, blotchy caps

no matter you’re short
it’s what’s underneath that counts
mycelial oomph

it’s how you transport
sugars through the chitin mat
after the dead turns

    When I first saw the word I thought of psilocybin…that comes from mushrooms…but I was way wrong.
