from one tiny seed
sun-mopped beanstalk giant grows
in awe of itself
from one tiny seed
creative life force explodes
warm dirt’s dynamite
beanstalk giant grows
inches per day, if you watch
violets titter
in awe of itself
how close it is to heaven!
bows head – birds alight
please note this is not an image of the original postcard, which I mailed before remembering to scan it. it’s a sunflower image from the internet
Beautiful! Sunflowers 🌻 are beautiful and captivating.

Thank you, Sarah. Since I have oilers in the bird feeders, there are always a few strays that spring to life in spring.

I like how sunflowers wave in the wind…they have their own personality.

I love how they grow from a tiny seed to a giant in a season and how birds and bees adore them.

Them and cat tails go together in my warped mind…I don’t know why but I can’t think of one without the other.

Great combo of majestic plants that seem like wild buddies.

Not this year, but last year, I literally had a hill of mammoth sunflowers that was very pretty. The bees and the birds loved them. Next year for sure. Here is a post from last year that shows them:
