The first time I can remember drawing it was in first grade. Our teacher walked around the room asking students questions. “Where is that, Jeannie?” I didn’t know.
In middle school, they asked the same.
By high school, my technique flourished and teachers submitted my works to competitions where they won prizes.
Now a freshman at the art institute, they asked me to do a show. The room buzzed with patrons’ comments: “they are all of the same place.”
One night, I dreamed I was standing at the top of the cliff, looking to the east. I remember everything now.

Art comes from a deep place inside us…I would include songwriting I think…all it takes is one inspiration and that can spawn many works.

I consider anything that involves creativity expressed as art. In other words, HELL YES! I think it technically falls under creative and performing arts.

Yes… I do. When I think of songs as art…the song A Day In The Life comes to mind. There are many more that are NOT Beatles lol.

I was 99.9% sure you did also. I think there is healing in art and music seems to heal more than most other kinds of art. Maybe because the sound is an actual wave that travels into our bodies?

Yes it does but also certain paintings can do that to me good and bad. Yes to the sound that travels…and words along with music can heal you like you said.

I have someone on my Facebook timeline who posts everytime she completes another surrealist painting. They’re always abstract depictions of a storm at sea. I sometimes wonder how she ever tells them apart, impressive though they are. So yes, I get this.

Ooh, mysterious. This feels like the beginning of a revenge story. Something suppressed and haunting like that usually isn’t a happy memory. This story has a great feel to it.
