A Man Called Ay Eye (Limerick)

by Anonymous

There once was a man who liked creating.
He thought it was quite invigorating.
It was rather law,
But not very ahh,
He couldn’t resist alienating.

Thanks to Datamuse, whose word engine was used to complete the poem.

Created on 23rd February 2023.

Auto Praise for A Man Called Ay Eye

“Wow! The rhyming structure is incredible. ‘creating’/’exasperating’/’alienating’ – how does Anonymous come up with this stuff?”  – The Daily Tale

“I thought Limericks were supposed to be funny. I slept. Then I dreamt that I was asleep.”
– Enid Kibbler

“Frankly, who can’t say no to the alienating? Flawless poetry. The earth moved for me. I just wish Limericks were longer.”– Hit the Spoof

“What I want to know, it who the toast is Ay Eye?”  – Zob Gloop

“I can think of better rhymes for ‘creating’, but best not go there. Thanks, Anonymous, for some moderate entertainment.”  —Betty Borison

I’m not one for posting two to a prompt, yet this week, it is the second time.

This one is from, “Poem Generator,” the site Kim found (thanks, Kim!) It even comes with comments on it.

Lillian you make a good point about how teachers have to be en garde for plagiarism yet the AI revels in it! What is this world coming to.

Damien, what do you mean it hit you where it hurts? Do you have something to do with AI?

      1. I am insanely afraid of AI. Haha! I actually just had a huge panic attack playing with light altering software on this photo editor. I think it is like that I am crazy ink blot thing, but I am alone a lot and prone to freaking myself out, because I am kind of crazy and really lonely.

Ah, OK. I think I’m understanding a little more now. When you’re only around machines and not other people I can see where it could produce anxiety. Do you have a chance to get away from the computer and outside into nature? :::imagining you chained to your desk and the computer has the key to unlock the chain::: Only kind of kidding.

I don’t know if you know this Lisa, I just found out today. Our friend and fellow poet Glenn Butkus passed away last Friday the 17th. I will miss his bold ways. Rest in peace Glenn.🕊

      Rob I saw your email earlier when I was at the car repair shop and couldn’t respond. I knew I hadn’t seen him at dVerse or on fb for awhile but then negligently didn’t follow up. This BREAKS MY HEART. GLENN sorry didn’t get to say goodbye to you. I know that he expected to be heading to a better place after this life ended and I imagine him there now. How did you learn he had passed on? Thank you for sharing the information. {{{HUGS}}}
