“Eternal Dance,” by geckobird
I’ll admit to you, but to deny to all others
my immortal pledge, my plum juicy love
the sugar for my tea, crumpet joy of union
as incarnations spin, seems dizzy curse
through beings, puzzling karmic inequity
as we swirl, flawed, an unsolvable jigsaw;
at every chance meeting, while aeons flux
our spring blooms will dance, hope pass
Laura is today’s host for dVerse’ Meet the Bar/Form.
I chose the contrapuntal with admit – deny.
What a slickly executed contrapuntal, Lisa! I love the foody phrases ‘plum juicy love and ‘crumpet joy of union’ – did you know that, in the UK, a bit of crumpet is slang for a sexually desirable woman?

Kim, thanks! No I did not know that about crumpet lol, but it seems to fit 🙂
