Writober Day 4-6 Twilight, Trick, Treat

As
twilight
creeps up sky,
chill air blankets
our thin coats. Miles of forest path to go…

When
spirits
play their tricks,
misted cobwebs
cling. We claw and stumble along the way.

Our chilled feet finally find, eyes see: home.
Treat of relief;
yes, we sigh,
again
safe.

  6. I guess forests can be a bit spooky. That said, I love walking through the forest, especially in autumn when the leaves have changed colors.

      At twilight and into dark with wet cobwebs to fight through, not so inviting. In daytime, it is heaven on earth, I agree. Actually meeting up with my kids and granddaughter in an hour to go walk the woods :)

      1. Nice, enjoy! :-)

        The weather in my neck of the woods is a mixed bag today – overcast with rain showers on and off. But tomorrow and Monday looks better. I’m off, so I ain’t complainin’ – isn’t that a song? :-)
