#FF — Jeremy’s Wonderland

Jeremy’s Wonderland

Jin’s plan began a decade ago, when she overheard Jeremy’s treacled chat with “Snookums” over the phone. While socking away every spare cent, Jin also accessed home improvement grant resources to install dual waterlines. One was connected to treated city water, for in-home use, and one was connected to the arsenic-contaminated well from industrial times, intended for lawn watering.

Every evening, Jin served Jeremy a cup or two of his favorite bedtime tea – with well water.

Jeremy’s descent into madness was difficult to watch but also morbidly satisfying for Jin.

Snookums is Jeremy’s only visitor at the asylum these days…

  1. A fitting tale for the photo. The curved section of water line looks suspiciously like lead.

My roommate has a work friend, and they call each other Snookums.

It seems Jeremy’s instincts were right. Snookums is that ride or die. He should have been smarter and left Jin when he could have. Now that the story’s out, Jin may end up in the asylum right next to him, and she doesn’t have a Snookums to visit her.
