in life’s luscious garden
let it rain like mad,
frantic water,
urger of dreams.
drunk moon woman
watching you through
storm’s mist in sleep.
yet when diamond
shadows stop, I see
gorgeous beauty
in life’s luscious garden

It’s going to start raining at any moment. When I saw rain the words, it was the seed for the oracle to germinate.

A gorgeous poem, Lisa.

Beautiful poem.
It’s also supposed to rain and storm later on today, where I live.

Thank you, Heartland. What part of the globe do you live on?

I live in smack dab in the middle of the United States. AKA Kansas. Follow the yellow brick road 😂 or Toto. Whichever you find first 😂

I think you are the first blogger I’ve encountered from Kansas. Happy to make your acquaintance. I’m in Western Michigan, near Lake MI.

Oh cool. Happy to make your acquaintance as well 🤗 My brother in laws sister lives in Michigan but not sure where in Michigan. I bet Michigan is beautiful.

Did you make this up as you recorded it, Lisa? Wish they’d repeat a similar prompt.. I’d like to try it. Need to figure out how to record my voice on the computer. Once knew how to do it but it has been a long time. So send your rain man down here. We’ll fix his wagon!!! (Positive connotation of those words.)

No, I wrote it first and it was during a prolonged drought here. I really willed it to work (don’t remember if it did right away, but…)
Will share your wish with the dVerse group.
You may need to get a free voice recording app from google store or elsewhere. Once you record it you can upload it to soundcloud and then embed it in your post (that’s how I did it, but you may very well find an easier way.)

We had a bit of rain a couple of days ago after several days without, and you could almost hear the flowers, plants, and trees all saying thanks…not to mention the wildlife. Lots of praise for water, water, everywhere!

Yes, water is definitely not optional for optimum life. Glad you got the rain and hope you get more soon.

Thanks, Randy :) Just read over at power pop that you and Max are starting up a series on brothers in arms? Very cool. I hope you cover the brothers in Radiohead. Pretty please?

Very happy your greenery is getting greened by the rain. I’m sure Sweety is happy also.

Haha, yes, she truly is though also thinks there’s enough rain for the time being!
