You have reached a quiet bamboo grove, where you will find an eclectic mix of nature, music, writing, and other creative arts. Tao-Talk is curated by a philosophical daoist who has thrown the net away.
Mentation works overmuch to grasp how foul memetics daft chiseler has strewn to infect our bloodshot world. How, with rancid spell unleashed, may we now contain it, to cast where deep, iron-encased, unspeakable things dwell? Let us raise our voice, one song, in light.
De, aka whimsygizmo, is today’s host of dVerse’ Quadrille Monday. De would like us to write a 44-word poem that includes the word much.
I like how you name him, “memetics daft chiseler.” I wonder the same thing. The one thing I know is that being silent or still doesn’t work. I agree with your prayer.
I wasn’t certain what memetics actually meant and now that I have the definitive definition, your poem’s meaning / impact boggles the mind! Daft chisler indeed. Let there be light!!! A huge wowee from Helen.
My first read-through I have to admit was rocky. I then googled some of the more unfamiliar words and wow, you hit the nail on the head with this! Nice!
A potent verse! And a great song accompaniment. One of my faves of theirs… I enjoyed the chapter on it in Bono’s book, and remember it well from seeing U2 play here in 2011.
“bloodshot world” is SUCH a powerful visual. Whew. I love this.

I wonder what would happen if everyone would just take the same day and focus on things that bring light? It might be like Dorothy throwing water…

Yes it is, Dwight, and now we have to deal with it. Sitting back and letting it have its way unimpeded just isn’t acceptable.

Lisa, I love how your poem encourages creative resistance – a shared voice to counter this pervasive toxicity which is spreading so rapidly 🙌

one song, in light.
Hopefully, more light will will lead the way out of this darkness

Such a feeling of heaviness in your poem but oh yes rise with light, surely this darkness that is trying to infect the world cannot last.
