#FF — “Help Me”

PHOTO PROMPT © David Stewart

Help Me”

Help me.”

The faint muffled plea came from Rea’s left. While perusing the tall concrete fence, iron bars, and barbed wire, a tiny ::plop:: led her eyes to a plastic-wrapped packet resting in a drainage tube near the grass. Rea pretended to lose direction while reading her phone, to act surprised by something on it, then dropped it close enough to the packet to pick it up.

The missive from Phan described her decade-long imprisonment; that “old toys” were disappeared; that she was next; and a plan, date, time.

On the night, Rea’s pipe bomb liberated Phan.

Next comes revenge.

Rochelle, happy you enjoyed the story. This time I used the magnifying glass and saw the drainage hole and the story took off from there.
      Thank you!

Ooh, you’ve picked out a detail but taken it a whole unexpected way as well. Phan asks for help and Rea obliterates her? Intriguing!

Jen, I think Phan is standing a good distance from the pipe bomb blast, but who knows, maybe death is preferable to staying imprisoned by a monster or disappeared in some way? Thanks for your interpretation.

Thanks, Steve. The ideas presented by the muse weren’t grabbing me, so I started zooming in on parts of the image and saw the drain pipe. My mind has been captivated by the epst*in-m*xwell-drumpf-bondi cover-up and am sure that influenced it. Was watching b*ndi being questioned at some hearing today, where some of the victims were present, and one of the members of congr*ss asked her if she had the decency to turn around and look at the victims and apologize for releasing their names to the public (they had been legally protected to anonymity by the doj but of course that was not honored when their names were released) and she not only refused but insulted the person who asked her. She’s a pit viper just like the others involved in this mess, no offense to pit vipers, who are what they are, where she chooses to emulate one.

        Clever, re: the drainpipe.

It’s deeply disturbing to think of the victims being re-victimized.
