Fandango’s FOWC is wifi, the Word of the Day Challenge is pledge, Paula’s 3 Things Challenge words are divorce, umbrella, octopus, and Teresa’s Story Starter Challenge phrase is: “Growls echoed through the hall.”
Growls echoed through the hall as Dean walked back into the living room. The wifi installer had forgotten a certain gauge cable and was now driving back to headquarters an hour away to get it. Another two plus hours of waiting for service. Dean moved out of the home he had shared with Trish for twenty-five years two weeks ago, once the divorce was final. He could do much of what he needed on his phone, but he needed the wifi for researching his latest book, which was close to being finished. The book was the seventh in his Octopus series and would be called, “Hold my Umbrellas.” He’d pledged to his publisher it would be finished by month’s end, which was now only two weeks away. Every day he was late would cost him a thousand dollars.
Weird, but it made me smile.

Thank you. I’m not sure if it is technologically correct, as wifi means wireless, but when I had my satellite internet installed here, the installer put a cable on there that couldn’t handle the amount of data coming through so it was super slow. I finally called the company and they sent the same guy out (3 months had gone by) and he said, “oops I put the wrong cable on there.” It’s like dude then give me a refund! I didn’t say that, but I felt like it.

That octopus is a tough one to get in there….perhaps a good nick name for a serial killer lol
