Plus, a bonus picture today. One of my orchids *finally* bloomed. It had a row of buds on the spike, but because of extreme temperature changes, they suffered bud blast and fell off. This is the single blossom on that spike. There are, fortunately, two more spikes that have developing buds on them. Since I’m not moving them back and forth, and there is more sun than usual, they probably will bloom. ::fingers crossed:: Instead of being disappointed so many fell off, I will be happy for the one that bloomed.

I listened to the Temple of the Dog CD tonight, which is Pearl Jam plus Chris Cornell. Instead of a cut from there — let’s face it, except for a few good songs and its Andy Wood tribute sentimentality factor, it ain’t all that — it’s going to be Radiohead’s, “Black Star,” from “The Bends,” which is the second studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, released in March 1995. Even though the subject matter is heartbreak, I love this song for its sheer lushness and pulsing flow.
Well what am I to do?
I know all the things around your head and what they do to you
What are we coming to?
What are we gonna do?
Blame it on the falling sky
Blame it on the satellite that beams me home
I try to stay awake but its 58 hours since that I last slept with you
What are we coming to?
I just don’t know anymore
Blame it on the falling sky
Blame it on the satellite that beams me home
I keep falling over I keep passing out when I see a face like you
What am I coming to?
I’m gonna melt down
Blame it on the falling sky
Blame it on the satellite that beams me home
This is killing me
This is killing me

Radiohead is one of my favorite new bands- they’ve been around what- for 25 years! Good selection!!

Thank you, Hans. And The Bends, their 2nd album, may be my favorite, although probably tied with others. Glad you like them :)

beautiful, I love the “stained glass” feel of the picture. The orchid if fabulous too. I haven’t the patience for them, so glad you got one.

Thanks JP. If I had the right setup for the orchids it would be better. They are finicky and a pain, but so far have kept the two I have alive. They love to go outside in the summer but languish when inside :(

I’ve had my orchid plant for almost 2.5 years now! Thankfully, still going strong. ;)
Loved your drawing!❤️❤️

Thank you, Richa. The two orchids have put me through a lot — but they are still alive! If your orchid is alive, you have talent <3
