Bonus pic: this is the last of the asparagus from my asparagus patch (not cooked yet.) Every year more grows. If you have a small patch of ground, it is worth it to buy a few asparagus roots. If you are patient, it may also be started from seed (which I did once, many moons ago.)
I just pre-ordered this album.
From Nonesuch Records’ website:
The Black Keys’ ninth studio album, “Let’s Rock,” will be released June 28, 2019, via Easy Eye Sound / Nonesuch Records. The long-awaited album, the band’s first in five years, is a return to the straightforward rock of the singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney’s early days as a band. Auerbach says, “When we’re together we are The Black Keys, that’s where that real magic is, and always has been since we were sixteen.”
“Let’s Rock” was written, tracked live, and produced by Auerbach and Carney at Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville and features backing vocals from Leisa Hans and Ashley Wilcoxson. “The record is like a homage to electric guitar,” says Carney. “We took a simple approach and trimmed all the fat like we used to.”
Rolling Stone named “Lo/Hi” a “Song You Need to Know” and said, “the Keys have officially returned, louder than ever” and the New York Times calls the song “the kind of garage-boogie stomp that the band never left behind.”
Love the picture…great coloring.
I like the song…and the video is great.

Thank you, Max. That one took awhile, and the pencils I have sometimes aren’t up to the task of those smaller pieces. I can’t wait to hear the new Black Keys album! These two guys are simply amazing to me. Yes that video kicks butt!

The detail of the drawings are great and I can see you would have to be meticulous in parts of it.
Oh the video is wonderful… great concept…there were rumors that they did break up when they took a break.

I was just eating my asparagus raw out of the dirt, haha. You’re so right, it really is worth it to plant asparagus. This is my second year of harvesting and they just keep getting better and better. I’m impressed that you’ve started some from seed, wow!

The ones at this home were from roots. The ones from seeds was way WAY back around the time my kids were being born and they are in their 30s now.

I’m impressed you managed it. It’s supposed to be so hard. Even just getting crowns to grow is supposed to be hard. I found mine easy. I want to try it from seed now!

Get good seed and you should be fine. I used to get all of my seed from Burpee.
