“Billy, let’s go! The Vision said the sun will shine as if it were noon at midnight, and it’s 11:30!” said June.
Billy and June made it to the park at 11:45, to the sounds of their friends hooting and hollering. “Don’t bogart that joint!” said Billy.
As The Vision foretold, at midnight the sun began to shine as if it were noon.
Chet cranked up the jams; they began to dance in the light, their hearts beating with the rhythm of the universe. Om.
The laser vaporized three before they realized it wasn’t the sun.

I liked this, it left me with a lot of questions in a good way! Is the vision a person or a thing, and has it deliberately betrayed them?

Good questions, wish I knew the answers. My thought is it was something (extraterrestrials?) that led them astray and ended up destroying/taking them.

Terrifying ending, and it doesn’t look too good for the rest of the dancers. Those visions. Gotta watch out for them.

lol that tickles me about looking up bogart. It’s probably a good thing you didn’t know what it was. Yes, being led astray by visions of this sort doesn’t end well usually.
