Right now I am participating in a Christian-based support group. I’ve gone through these 12 weeks several times over the years, which is how it is designed; which is to peel off a layer of the trauma, then rest awhile so the open wound from it can heal.
We use a workbook, and every week’s unit has a Bible verse to focus on. I remember the first time I saw this (part of) the Bible verse – for this week’s unit, which is on guilt and shame – it was like the verse reached out to me and begged me to believe it.
Today’s prompt, on who am I, made me think of it for today. One of our exercises in the group is to go around the table and read a verse or statement, but each time emphasize a different word in it, until each word has been emphasized. For the part of the prompt, to make up a new poetic form, I decided to lay this out in such a fashion.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Here’s another way it could be tried:
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Am fearfully and wonderfully made. I
Fearfully and wonderfully made. I am
And wonderfully made. I am fearfully
Wonderfully made. I am fearfully and
Made. I am fearfully and wonderfully
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

It stresses on all the words in a correct manner.
