Frost blooms as a withered rose rustles.
How long must paths cover seasons
beneath intuition, whose rain only
murmurs moistly about bucolic breezes?
This sanctuary is our gentle bird,
coloring the tendril which will
trunk thick in summer’s shine.

I would say the oracle brought forth a message for all. I do hope summer will be thick with greenery.

You knocked me out with /whose rain only murmurs moistly about bucolic breezes/. This tiny ode to frost puts me in mind of fantasy.

At this time of year, I wish it was a fantasy 😉 Thank you for your comment, Glenn. Do you watch netflix? I’ve been watching a show called Virgin River and it has some gorgeous scenery of northern CA in it.

Beautiful writing. The second stanza is gorgeous. The first one is also beautiful, but the “This sanctuary is our gentle bird” line is something else.
Excellent work here.

Bird and sanctuary are words that the Oracle likes. The message might change slightly but beneath she generally lets us have it about the importance of nature,, its beauty and the respect of its rights.
