I think this is a type of sedum. Have had it forever in containers.

I took clippings from the rosemary and put them in water. Once they had roots, they were planted. Can’t wait to see if they live.

one of the 4 tomato plants from heirloom seeds collected last year. Out of 36 seeds planted only 5 sprouted and now 4 plants. These are really healthy and full of blossoms. No tomatoes yet.

  1. You must have a green thumb as all of your plants look healthy.

Thank you, Jim. I’ve had to give them plenty of water to keep them alive. I hope it rains soon.

      1. It has been raining every day here for a few weeks now and all I see id green. Bogie was frightened of the fireworks last night and she always runs under my bed when she hears thunder.

It’s been bone dry here and temps in the 90s. Mlady and Dotty aren’t bothered by fireworks which is kind of surprising. Dotty does not like sirens though. Poor Boggy. There were a lot of scared animals last night.

p.s. many of the plants are wild volunteers and don’t get watered unless they are in one of the beds

I love fresh rosemary so much…luckily easy to buy around here. I’ve seen a couple of those tiger swallowtails this spring too. I’m taking it as a good sign of something. (K)

Ah, so that’s what the pretty butterfly is. Yes, I can’t think of darkness when butterflies are around. I haven’t seen any monarchs by the milkweed but have seen some chewing on the leaves.

I love the Red Geraniums… you must have a green thumb so to speak…all of them look great.

Miss Martha knocked down some of Jen’s flower by chasing a frog…then unwisely picked it up with her mouth…didn’t hurt the frog but she will never forget that taste.

The geraniums I got from a greenhouse on clearance so they were already healthy when I put them in the hanging basket. So many of these plants sprout up on their own. Must be brought into the yard by the wind or by critters.

That is something…that they came up on their own. They are awesome looking.
We do have decorative pepper plants that come up every year.

I do sit in the shade in the yard sometimes. There is a black locust tree that shades the house and back yard. It’s always cooler under the tree.

I had to look up what the black locust tree looks like ’cause it brings to mind something other than the pretty white blooms from the photos. Like, who came up with that name?! lol
But now I can picture it…in the yard….in the shade. Niiiiiiiiiice !

I’ve never seen it bloom so well before. This year must have perfect conditions for it.
