#FF — Mortal Coil, Part II

Since so many wondered what happened in last week’s story, I decided to write another chapter in it.  If you missed it, you can find it here.

Steve’s parrot, Georgie’s, “Hello!” woke him from his La-z-boy dozing. Georgie greeted every visitor when she heard them at the door. Steve wondered who it was, hoping it was Martha. It had been weeks.

The fisheye revealed noone; but what was this on the floor? At first it looked like paper, but it glowed like starlight. Steve stooped to pick it up.

Martha’s handwriting read, “I convinced them to come back for you. Meet me at Steeplechase at noon. Don’t be afraid of what you see. Love, Martha. P.S. Bring Georgie.”

At noon, from the clouds, the ship silently descended.

There is no way Georgie is in the bag.  Imagine she is sitting on Steve’s left knee.

    2. Hmm, I’m a little concerned for Steve and Georgie. I have a sense of something sinister. Nice followup story, Lisa!

Yes, you never know. Maybe the ET took over her body and made her write the note… Thanks, Brenda!

    I love the disclaimer.

Now, I have more questions. Is it really Martha? Why was Steve left behind? Why come back for him at the behest of a single “abductee”? Are the visitors planning to stop for hotdogs at Nathan’s upon their return? The plot thickens.

  10. Dear Lisa,

I agree with Sandra. There’s still more to this delicious story. While I’m not a big fan of serials in FF, this has the potential to be a lot of fun. I wonder why Martha asked him to bring Georgie. ;)

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

Maybe this is supposed to be creepy and scary, but it just made me laugh out loud! Georgie, invisible to most, must be kinda small :). Well done, Jade!

LOL. No way was it intended to be creepy and scary. Just the idea of being able to convince the ETs to come back for her boyfriend and parrot makes me laugh. Yes, Georgie is a small parrot with a big heart. Thanks Linda!
