It’s been a couple of weeks. Pics have been taken here and there but no time to get them off of the phone and posted. On Tuesday, the 12th, I took a 17-mile bike ride. On Wednesday, the 13th, I met up with the Moon Clan Mothers group up north and saw two giant willow trees. That night I captured a shot of the full moon (strawberry? raspberry?) The rest of the pics are from around the yard this week. I’d be at a park in Grand Rapids with my younger son, my DIL, and the grandbaby, but on the ride north on Wednesday with 3 other women, one of them waited until we were on the road to say her son is testing positive for Covid. NOT COOL. Now, to be safe, I will wait until after next Tuesday to take a Covid test before trying to be around the baby. Hoping you enjoy the pics. Click on the captions to see them full size.
the woolly thyme loves its location. i had to pull some of it away from the dianthus.
pink yarrow. sorry the program editor is not working (and I don’t feel like trying to figure out why it worked so well with the rest but not the last few) so the last few cannot be enlarged
Thanks, Paula! Sorry for late response. I had a power outage from 7pm last night until about an hour ago. Ended up driving to GR and spending the night at my older son’s house.
Nice pics. You also reminded me about biking and getting my bike out of my messy garage. Hopefully, I’ll get it done before the summer is over. I’ve become such a procrastinator!
Christian, you won’t regret getting the bike out of the garage. Spring and fall are the best times to ride, as things are cooler then. Early morning and late afternoon rides also work in summer… I challenge you to post one picture of yourself (or a landscape shot) on a bike ride in the next 30 days. Are you up to the challenge?!?
Thanks, Lisa, I think I’d be more comfortable making it 60 days, in part because I’m planning to go to Germany for a week at the end of this month, but I’ll try! 🙂
Yes, seeing my parents after more than 2.5 years is the main purpose. In fact, my sister and brother-in-law who are currently based in Bangalore, as well as my nephew will be there as well, so it’s going to be a family mini-reunion!
Initially, I had planned to see my parents in late May but had to reschedule the trip due to unforeseen work commitments. Plus, I couldn’t have travelled anyway, since two days prior to my initially scheduled departure I tested positive for COVID.
I’m also hoping to see some friends. If everything works out as currently envisaged, it’s going to be a busy trip. In other words, not exactly relaxing but seeing my family and dear friends again after such a long time makes it all worthwhile.
I may need a vacation from the vacation when I get back! 🙂
So much looking forward to this, Lisa. Hopefully, everything will go okay with the flights. You hear a lot about cancelations and delays. I’m trying to stay optimistic!
Thank you, Max. I posted those two willows on fb and was told one (the thinner one) is a Siberian Elm, so I will be editing the caption soon. How cool is that?
Gorgeous flower pics!

OK OK let’s extend it to 60 days 🙂 How exciting to be traveling to Germany. I’m guessing it is to visit your family there?

Love the first two pics because of the way you captured the sun….love the Willow tree. The moon is a cool shot also.

Thanks for the info, Max. This one was alone except for the willow next to it. The home owner probably mows any new sprouts that germinate.

Punam, thank you. The plants are hardy as much drought as we’ve had.

You are welcome.

Beautiful pics, Lisa! And so not cool of her. People don’t take COVID seriously. And, it was the Buck moon! Nicely done!

Thank you, Dale, and I agree. I wanted to scream out, keep that baby away from her! But of course that would make me the bad guy 😦

I should explain that where we went there was a 6 month old baby and of course she had to hold the baby 😦
