The book I chose to write to is titled, The Physiology of Taste, by Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. The inscription is at the top of the post and used as an epigraph. The letter format is used with 2 voices, the giver and the receiver.
*Under electric candelight is a lyric from The Kinks’ song, “Layla”

Made it back, safe and sound. Yesterday I was out and was “unprompted fishtailing” on glare ice at 50. Really thought I was going into the ditch. Some jerk stayed right on my tail.

It’s always the other people… I just refuse to drive on it. Here hardly anyone knows how to drive in it and I wanna go slow…and they don’t. Jen can drive well in it because she grew up in it in West Virginia.
