Doodads — The Coffee Factory wooden sculpture

The Coffee Factory 041223

I had lunch with a friend last week at a coffee/book/cafe shop that is becoming my favorite place to go for good things to eat, tasty hot chai, aesthetic ambience, and meaningful conversation.  The place is a repurposed section of a giant factory, half of which is still in rubble and some of which has been repurposed into apartments and an events venue.  This marvelous sculpture is just one of the many eye-catching marvels here.

I can’t imagine how long it took the artist to put that together.

When I’m in there I dream about getting an apartment in the building and walking downstairs for breakfast every morning 🙂

haha! I know the feeling. I’ve had similar thoughts at really neatly decorated restaurants. 🙂
