A Public Garden with People Walking in the Rain
Vincent van Gogh
Lost Again
A snapshot may form an opinion.
For example, you may think fool,
you’re getting wet out there even
in friendly oblivious conversation.
Heads and tails are important.
We are marveling after long wait,
able to be in the gardens again
after white slates melt to puddles
falling from sky. Friend, oh why
you’d deny yourself for trickles,
trifles? Shiny pathways wind us
in banter, dungarees, galoshes;
revived, delighted in community.

so lovely Li a very beautiful poem! 💜💜

Beautiful Love the last stanza which is almost like an invite to the shiny pathway, just dressing for the occasion.

Having “community,” even just a community of two, to walk with can make all the difference!

<3 You know I was thinking of fmg. We planned on walking outside this past Tuesday but they still have it closed off.

This is one of my favorites by just the opening line… “A snapshot may form an opinion.” THAT is great.

Li your words and the art took me there to that street. It was an unusual feeling like I had traveled in time almost. The power of words is sometimes extraordinary isn’t it? ❤️☺️
